First of all, you must understand that our front door is at the top level of our tri-level home. To get to the front door, you climb up slatted wood steps, and pass no fewer than three landings. We have a storm door on the outside--aluminum with a screen bottom and glass top pane--and an oak door inside.

Imagine, then, my surpeise as I opened the big front door to step outside, as i've done several times each day for the last seven years, to find a frog attached to the storm door at precisely my eye level.

Still, dazed, or waiting for me to help him figure out what he was dong there, he let me take his picture.
