I'm on a viewing platform overlooking the Museum of Science and Industry's new "U-505 Experience" under contruction. The U-505 is a German submarine (in the first photo wrapped in white tarps due to rain) captured in 1944 that is being restored with a new 35,000 square foot underground museum being built around it. The artist's concept looks impressive. A staffer says the new extension to the museum will open spring 2005.
