I'm in a taxi heading to DC from BWI. It's a grey rainy day, so I was glad I got to see some sun and blue sky at 28,000 feet on my way in from Boston. I just ran into my old boss Syd at the airport and took 15 minutes to grab a coffee with him to catch up. We hadn't talked since I went to work at AARP last year. I gave him some of the slick MIT Media Lab literature that features my photos, and he told me all about his new business designing custom private golf courses and selling synthetic turf. Then he was off to catch a flight to Chicago, and me to a taxi. Now that I'm in flying out of town regularly, I've run into old co-workers and clients several times in the terminal, which is one of the few good things about being in an airport.
