I did another major cleanup on the grounds yesterday, this time the front yard. As I went to throw away a ancient garden hose, I noticed some dampness where the hose was. The valve was tight, but the ground was still wet.

Not good.

I ripped the insulation away from the water pipe leading into the house and was rewarded with a spray of water.

Bleh.

So, I shut the water off at the street, and paid Ace Hardware a visit. I replaced the main cut off valve too, since I found out it didn't work during my last plumbing fiasco.

So, $12 later, and a few gallons of sweat, we have water again.
