Color SK thoughts Thu 06.05.03 7:17pm PDT #4807 |
![]() It doesn't really seem like anything revolutionary, just the next logical step. With everything converting to color, the sidekick had to convert or be left behind. I worry about the battery life, as the B&W one I have now would be lucky to make it two full days without charging. The new camera would be nice, as the tiny pics I take now are fairly useless. Being able to see them in color has its advantages too. But IM/email/SMS/phone would seem to be exactly the same. I really like this phone though. I love being able to check all my email (which is mostly web-based) no matter where I am, check real websites when I need to for free, and not have to worry about going over my allotment of minutes or data. What I don't like is that I don't use it very often. Yeah, I could blog my whole life, but just because something CAN be on the internet doesn't mean it SHOULD be. And I kinda feel bad for paying the $70 (after taxes) for this plan. What I'm looking forward to the most tomorrow is the introduction of new billing plans, so hopefully I can find something a little cheaper that has everything I need. Either that or I start using my phone more. So will I upgrade? I'm not sure yet. If they offer the upgrade fairly cheap to me and I can swith to a somewhat cheaper plan and still have enough minutes for the month, I may just do it. I was an early adopter of the original SK, but now I don't need a phone/pda combo. Maybe when my contract is up they'll make me a good offer to stay, I don't know. --Luke |
