Wow, it's been a while... here's my new Game Boy Advance SP. It goes great with my new 12" PowerBook G4. Hooray! I love new shtuff. =D

oooo and so the chronicle of my weekend at SUNY Albany...

10:30 - arrive at Empire Commons where ma friend Jes lives
11:30 - me, Jes, Mike, Jon, and Kim so shopping for food and booze.
3:00 - start cooking: meatballs, eggrolls, popcorn chicken, Kahlua brownies...
5:00 we start partying...
6:00 through like 10:00 - people slowly show up and things get more lively. made punch and jello shots with 160 proof vodka. oh yeah.
midnight - so 'everyone' is here. Jes dresses like Mrs. Claus and Mike grudgingly dresses as Claus. suffice to say his end didn't last long, but Jes was Claus-y most of the night...
2:30 am - Denny's!
2:45 - Donna is more drunk than she's been in years and can't quite handle Dennys... she leaves to go drive the porcelain bus, if ya know what I mean...
3:30 - god, Denny's food SUCKS.
5:00 - maybe I should get at least an hour or two of sleep... ?

so here I am back on Amtrak, nicer than the train I came up with, but no gorgeous chick in the seat in front of me. oh well, I've got two hours to goooo.... =D

still snow on the ground up here. hmmm not sure where this is, about an hour away from Albany methinks. awfully pretty. Listening to Can't See New York by Tori Amos, a fitting song for the setting...

and there is one of the most beautiful girls I've ever laid eyes on sitting in front of me, switching between Smilia's Sense Of Snow, and sleeping. so di I say something? or not? she boarded somewhere in the NY 'burbs, so if it led anywhere, would we be resorted to taking the train to see each other? this is the crap that goes through my head in situations like this, and I usually end up saying nothing. maybe thatll change today, and I really can't take my eyes off of her... ( in a good way! im not a letch!!)

ooo, going to Albany too see some friends... opted for Amtrak instead of the bus, busses are gross. unfortunately, they don't have Acela service to there yet, and unfortunately I doubt Acela service will be prevalent anywhere except NY, DC, and BOS for another 10 years, the way Amtrak's finances are...

for those that don't know, Acela is Amtrak's answer to the great rail service you can find inalmost every OTHER country. Fast modern trains that run on existing tracks. The ride is smooth, the view great ( lots of big glass windows), LED signs pointing out stops and such, and classes - coach, business, or first. I always take first class as irs worth the fee - big seats, expansive TABLES, plenty of power outlets, and some pretty damn good meals. its a great ride - if you ever have to travel between NYC, DC, or BOS, you've got to try it once!

but today, im riding a regular Metroliner, business class. refreshments included. yum. old windows though, so the view is a bit muddled. attached are pics from the cab ride, Penn Station, and the train. =D

oh yeah, and the GPRS reception aint bad so far, but it drops every so often, as expected... *justin

wheeere did this movie come from?? It opened today and I didn't hear about it UNTIL today! and im a huuuuge moviegoer!!

well I must say it was an incredible movie. a tad derivitive, but it didn't mater - the style and action were top notch. it was like 1984, Matrix, and Minority Report all in one! lower budget, granted, but you didn't even notice.

if you like SF, action, or cerebral movies GO SEE THIS!! =D
