Well, it's been an interesting week for me...it some respects. I interviewed for a position w/in the company in the group that I was in before I was promoted to this position I'm currently in. I didn't have much confidence during/after the interview that I would be at the top of the selection list. At first my boss had this "I don't care" vibe going when I first told him I was applying for another position. Today, I felt better about the situation because my boss showed concerned that I was looking outside the department. He let it slip that "something" (me reading between the lines = "good") might be coming when we have mid-year reviews next month.

My hubby told me earlier that the rain messed up things because it was 105 degrees and humid. I didn't go outside the office today and usually when I leave for home it's cooler outside. At work, we're starting Domino server cluster/upgrades tomorrow and I'm on the oncall rotation list as primary so I get to "press all the buttons" with a confused look on my face. The process has been documented by the subject matter expert who knows this stuff like the back of his hand. Fortunately, he will be in the office to "babysit" me & secondary oncall. I also have to be @ work the following Saturday. The server upgrades should be finished by end of next month. Next quarter we'll actually start the migration from Domino 5 to 6. Anticipating a lot of after hours paging for problems related to the migration. Fortunately, I have DSL to access VPN so I won't have to drive in to work after hours (optimistic).
