Gurlz Day Out Sun 06.22.03 11:38pm PDT #5055 |

We saw Finding Nemo. The colors of the ocean and sea life were unbelievably vivid and detailed. The beginning of the movie may have scared some younger kids. At first JigNeNe said she didn't think she'd like the movie because it seemed scary because of what happened to Nemo's mom. Nemo's Dad, Marlin was always in peril on the journey to find his son. We liked the part of the movie when Marlin and Dorrie were in the Austrailian waters and hanging out with the sea turtles. I can see kids during the summer months quoting lines from that movie when they are hanging out. I could relate to Dorrie's character on a semi-personal level -- she couldn't remember whether she had any immediate family - mother/father/siblings and she admitted that she suffered from short term memory loss -- like on the days when you can't find your house keys and someone else walks right over and finds them instantly. Back to Finding Nemo -- I think it will be a huge seller when it goes to DVD. DramaKween also said she wouldn't mind seeing it again. Looking forward to the Looney Toones Live action movie with Steve Martin and Jenna Elfman. The preview had a Who Framed Roger Rabbit feel to it. I remember how crazy I was about WFRR, and ended up buying the bug-eyed floppy earred house shoes and then rented the full WFRR costume "many" years ago for an office party. After Finding Nemo, we had a toss up between GameWorks & Nickel-Nickel. I lost so we went N-N. Whenever we go to N-N there's always a handful games that are "out of order" Most of the games require nickels except for two rows of games near the back of the game center -- which are freebies. I played Tetris Plus but the game was defective depending on what level you started out with, it got stuck at level five. There was also another game called Columns which is a lot like Bejeweled. I didn't do very good at Ms. PacMan. The gurlz gravitate towards the games that dispense tickets. Afterwards we went to Coco's for pie and then we went home. Oh Yeah!! I got the CSK this past Saturday. I've been scoping the pics on HN with pics taken with the *new* camera, especially those taken by MLee of the Farmer's Market. Well, I've taken up enough bandwith for now .... it's a shame that tomorrow is back to the ole' grind. BustAGroove's HipLoGraphy |
