C-SPAN and other major networks until 8:00pm(?)...I'm in my "politic" mode where I end up watching way too much CNN, MSNBC, and listening to KFWB. I stay on this kick for days at a time and then I'll tune out local/national news for a few weeks because of the information overload which turns out to be more negative than positive. George W. is racking up standing ovations. I was listening to the radio this a.m. and they reported that since 9/11 event, they hold back one cabinet type member from appearing at the State of the Union address in case something were to happen at the Capitol, there would be a high ranking official to step in.

I live in California and we're deep in the $$ deficit hole. They said that vehicle registration will go up an addt'l $180 per vehicle, closing of hospitals, layoffs, etc. mostly due to the power crisis we had a few years ago....it's the trickle down theory. I was talking to a former coworker who said that the local job market is so bad that programmers are applying for first-level help desk positions. It'll be interesting to see what our state leaders have to say on the record about Bush's State of the Union address. ....that's your civics/current affairs lesson for today boyz & girlz....
