 One of my best friends and mentors is a teacher at a local high school. IEvery once ina while when he is out of town, I take up the slack for him, running the events at the high school fine arts facility. This morning, I was here at seven (the sun was not even attempting to be up yet) to unlock the building and help run the practice SAT test. TEN POINTS for the hiptop! I have never been able to stay awake during these things, and now I am writing all of the personal e-mails I neglected to this week. (Picture: Backs of the heads of throngs of students pouring over meaningless analogies and word problems, while constantly daydreaming of how soft their beds are.) Wow it's early.
