I am currently in the Austin airport. This airport, until about five years ago, was actually the local air base. When the base was shut down during a flurry of base closings, the City of Austin jumped at the chance to not only build a long overdo, state-of-the-art air travel facility.

It also happens to be that the company I now work for, was responsible for the design of the paging and announcement system throughout the facility.

(everyone feel free to correct me if any of my notes are incorrect, as they are all coming from the crevases of of my memory, which may not be so accurate)

Austin Bergstrom is an international airport that includes service to Mexico.
