Flickr.com has a neat feature of reading the data on image files and then listing what type of device took the picture. Apparently some pictures were posted by a few Danger guys in the last few days and the device listed on their pictures was a "Danger Zante." Since there is currently no product released under that name everyone is assuming it's a new device, possibly the next Sidekick. You can thank sfourxton for catching all this. Within hours it was on gizmodo. And the new device was pretty much confirmed when the Danger guys deleted all the pictures off of flickr and asked sfourxton to delete his too.

Of course, due the the wonderful interwebs, the flickr pages could still be pulled up in google cache. I saved the most interesting one. I also threw the image onto my flickr page and it still shows "Danger Zante" as the device. The picture is just of a motorcycle but in the reflection you can see someone holding an all black device that looks similar to a Sidekick. Who knows what it really is...

Where the déjà vu comes in is that this almost exact same situation happened before the SK2 was released. Andy Rubin (ex-Danger guy) posted a picture from the SK2 on his way back from Cannes where it was previewed but not to the public. He posted the picture on Hiptop Nation and everyone figured it out. He asked to have it removed and Mike did it. But not before I had saved it and posted it on my own server. I posted about it at the time.
