Today is Day 150 of The sorensilk iPod Challenge. I thought I'd post a little update.

I'm currently on song 3160 of 7057 - Isobel by Björk. That makes me just short of halfway through. I had actually thought I'd be further along by now but there's a reason I'm not. About two months ago I started jogging with my wife, rather than by myself, so that cuts several hours a week of listening.

Besides it going slower than I thought, it's been great. I have realized two main things. One, I have some really crappy music. Two, I have way more really good music. I was pleasantly surprised at how many good songs pop up. I run across one ever now and then that I ask myself, "What the Hell was I thinking?" but not nearly as many as I thought I would.

I've gotten several emails of other people joining, which is always fun. I also get the occasional email saying "I already did this." Or "So-and-so did this two years ago." Relax everyone, I know I didn't invent the idea, I was just challenging anyone on HN to join me.
