Next time you're in Austin stop by the Green Mesquite. It's at about South Lamar and Barton Springs Road, just on the other side of the lake. Sit on the patio out back but make sure you check out the tons of vintage music posters as you're walking through.

Order Hush Puppies as you appetizer. Any of the meat plates are great but I highly recommend the Jambake for your entree. It's a baked potato covered with jumbalaya and spicy garlic butter. Feel free to ask for extra garlic butter if you're so inclined. Get the pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. And don't forget to tip the waitstaff well.
