![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sitting on a bench in front of the Light Street Pavillion now watching the crowd dissapate through the mild moonlit night. It's nice hearing people still yelling "Happy New Year," and blowing their noise makers. Well, in my opinion, the pyrotechnic display was much shorter than I've seen before, but maybe appropriately so in the shadow of all those lost lives on the other side of the world. And not to mention all the soldiers huddling in the dessert wishing they were back here. I must admit I'm not a big holiday celebrator--I honestly try hard to celebrate what's right with life every day. Moblogging is my way of marking these daily moments of joy. But for many, this change in numerical year, and our culture's promotion of it affords time to rediscover one's perpective on life, and make some resolutions to better the coming year. This is a good thing. - mike lee - from baltimore's inner harbor - now home to kiss the sleeping family and update my neglected main blog. |

The Baltimore New Year's Eve Spectacular is in progress. Mayor O'Malley is about to do the countdown, but he first recognizes the tsunami disaster and our soldiers overseas. It's shoulder-to-shoulder people down here. - mike lee - |

![]() ![]() ![]() ...an iPod Sock on a 13-month-old's foot. It barely works as an ankle sock, not to mention that it cost $4.99. Cianna yanked it off right after I got the photo, but she does that anytime she has socks on. My shopping companions have already claimed a couple of the colors for their 'pods. Another will go on my mini, and over a small digital camera. We'll see how well they hold up to wear. - mike lee - |
