...my baby daughter screams at sunset. So we go for a hike down to the stream by the old mill. Dad gets exercise, baby points out fowers, doggies and airpanes in the sky.

Brookside Gardens is on the north end of Wheaton Regional Park. We explored the visitor's center and enjoyed "Wings of Fancy" Live Butterfly Show in the garden's South Conservatory (9-13). Since it was pouring rain, we didn't look around the grounds much.

We're exploring Wheaton Regional Park (1) this afternoon. The park is behind our new house with the minature train (4 & 5) and carousel (2 & 3) a few walking minutes away. The picnic and playgrounds are pretty crowded on this Memorial Day. I note the huge kid launcher (6)! Cianna is also practicing some slide technique (7) today. After our move, we'll have several months of warm weather to enjoy the park.

We paused in front of the Capitol Building for a "Welcome to Washington" photo. There's a concert tonight on the steps, so we couldn't get too close. Crossing 3rd Street by the Mall, we encountered part of the huge biker parade. Now to enter the museum.

The Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Apple Cinnamon Fruit & Cereal Bar I just gave Cianna disintegrated into an unholy rain of crumbs. Cianna had a great time, but there will be no more of this product in our household.
