Mike, I had Babelfish "translate" the Japanese article you mentioned in your recent post. Here's the second paragraph: In Japan which is portable telephone large country the person who from the time before writes the diary by the portable telephone was. This is the Moblog which leads the world. Furthermore the people who publish that to the Web with the spread of the camera equipped portable telephone for the various scenes of daily life the photograph, were present. Kawasaki points out this already. There is the similar movement even in the United States. The PDA which the American Danger corporation sells unifies, the portable telephone can put the small camera with the keyboard and option. Using the PDA of this Danger, the people that getting together, it probably will make the Moblog, now it records daily life with the camera and and composition is published by the Web, forms the very important Moblog community. - mike lee - |

This was my cool read for today: a Wired article about a new show of the work of Leonardo DaVinci at The Met. The piece reports on the belief of many that he was a true hacker of his time. I'm putting the show on my list of things to do on one of my weeknights in the city. Read on ... - mike lee - new york and baltimore - curiouslee.com |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm at the open house of Second Chance Architectural Antiques & Salvage at 1645 Warner Street in Baltimore. Second Chance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that carefully retrieves and sells interesting architectural elements from old buildings. The funds from sales and other sources is used to train low-income residents of Baltimore in a wide variety of skills, ranging from carpentry to craftsmanship. We walked through a retail sales building and a large warehouse full of great stuff. They will be open on Saturdays soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So I got out of the Spool talk and set out on foot to explore the Union Square area for food. My first choice would have been Republic, which is an excellent japanese noodle place right on the square. But the wait was 25 minutes. Now I'm in the position of being somewhat hungry but with no strong preference for cuisine (drawing a lower threshold at McDs). Bad situation when you're in New York City where there are interesting places to eat on virtually every corner. I ended up at E 19th St & Park Avenue, and settled on the City Crab and Seafood Company. Dinner is Maryland Crab Cakes--thanks to the AIG consulting contract expense account. - mike lee - new york and baltimore - curiouslee.com |
