this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI picked up a Griffin Technologies iTrip mini FM transmitter for my iPod mini this weekend from the discount table at the Apple Store. I just tried it out in our P.T. Cruiser and it works great. This will make my wife mad as she has had bad luck with several FM transmitters including the older iTrip for her original iPod. Oh well, technology does make progress.

It's our 16th wedding anniversary, and also my mom is taking her sons and their wives out to dinner because all of our birthdays fall within a couple weeks of today.

The Hotel Monaco, the boutique hotel where we are staying tonight, promotes its Guppy Love program prominently on the web site. Guppy Love delivers a complimentary goldfish as a companion for guests on the road without their pets (the hotel is pet friendly!). Each goldfish is given a unique name. Tonight we have Peter. I do have publically complain here that it took three requests to finally recieve the goldfish. Last time we stayed here, I requested twice, and never got one. My wife thinks I'm being too persnickety--and I rarely complain about things at hotels--but a boutique hotel should be all about the many unusual details that make its experience unique.

We're back at the Monaco today to spend the night. This afternoon, I worked in a 2-hour shoot with Bulgarian-born model Elena. This time around we got a nice large-windowed room on the 3rd floor. We were perfectly situated to take in direct late-afternoon sun, which Elena's companion did a good job of reflecting into the various scenes. Believe it or not, Elena is a SQL programmer, codes in many server languages and protocols, and has worked on some huge financial web sites. Yow!
