New (for our work group) is having an employee in another state. We metthe office of our new teammate, someone who worked with our group a couple years ago and is affectionately known as THE DISH. The suite of rooms, which are an existing regional office, is nicely provisioned--nice view of the parking lot too!

Interesting anthropological bit on the BlackBerry: We heard the buzzing alert refered to as "moo-ing" and the device is called simply a 'Berry. In D.C., I think I most often hear people irreverantly refer to their CrackBerrys, in a nod to its addictive nature, but maybe also a wink to D.C.'s notorious past mayor. When I was working at a financial services company on Wall Street a while back, they called them RIM devices. Hmm, I may have to do a search to see if someone has done a study on all this.

The temperature dropped four degrees after we crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge and we are seeing our first snow flurries of the winter.

After a stop for food and gas along the NJ Turnpike, we continue south to drop Mary off in Baltimore and onward to the DC area. Even before the glow of New York City wears off, I have to re-pack for an overnight trip to Chicago tomorrow as well as more holiday traveling later in the week.
