Well, I suppose they are handy to keep your 100# or so 21" monitor out of your lap during an earthquake. Coming from Texas where the ground stays where it is supposed to, I have never seen these before.

I'm sitting in the lobby of the hotel, having a glass of red wine while I try to relax from my all-you-can-eat sushi experience. The sushi was real neat. There is a "moat" around the sushi bar in which little boats float. There is a jet of water which propells the boats around in a never ending circle. When you see something you want, you just grab it.
