Went to the Dallas comic con, saw some celebrities, people in costumes, and listened to some good Q&A. Brent Spiner of Star Trek fame was there, and even Chewbacca. I'm actually the one sitting at his booth, as he was out smoking or something.

Also talked to Scott Kurtz and got a Skull doll. I hope I didn't scare him too much.

The reason there are two pictures of the line are because we spent most of the first hour waiting in it.

Overall pretty cool. Not bad for $5.

Carolyn cooked dinner, ate with her and her brother (mmm, tacos), went shopping for a little bit and then watched some of Back To The Future part 2. Better than my day, which was working at the office.

I was posed with an eating challenge today, to eat a Monster Burrito from Freebirds, and then consume a "Love it" (or medium) size ice cream from Coldstone. Never one to back down, I quickly accepted. Some ground rules were laid down, and a group met to participate and watch. Several people had burritos, and some had ice cream, but few were able to complete the challenge. I had no problems, so the challenge will probably be increased next week. Eventually a winner will be declared.

Where do you go when you want to eat at a place with a fireplace, wood veneered walls, columns and ceiling, and chandeliers? If you're near where I live, go to McDonald's. Oh, I forgot to mention the 6 or so Gamecube setups in the Playplace.

Took my parents downtown to show them the sites. Went up in reunion tower (the big ball) and went by the JFK memorial. The one picture is of my mom talking to some guy with a name badge that was telling us the "truth" about what happened. He never did tell us where he was from.

The ol' machine is a little slow for recording and playback at the same time, but it does well enough, and I can probably tweak the settings and get it better. Yay for time-shifted Bush speech!
