My old street....don't know how the little old sk camera will treat the gold leaf cathedral dome. I used to live across the street from the cathderal. The rest of these are between there and work. --heidi
lunch
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWhat a glorious day to eat lunch by the fountain in Mill Creek by the Plaza, even if I did have to get two little fillings first. Too bad I don't want to spring 300 bucks for a color sk so I could see what the photo really looks like before I send it. --heidi

At the Ag Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs KS (outside Kansas City) for an employee picnic for the co where I used to work. This place is actually pretty cool. The picnic ended with a fantastic fireworks show for the 45th anniversary of the company. The National Poultry Museum will be here in the future, according to the sign beneath a big chicken statue. In the meantime you have 300 anvils in a 4th generation blacksmith shop and the farming museum (plus some other stuff I don't know much about). There's a great harvest moon on our way home tonight. --heidi

Ah, a place after my own heart....this stop sign @ 9th + Alder in downtown Portland commands (for the rest of the sticker you can't read in a hiptop photo):

Hello from the City of Roses on another beautifully sunny day. The Peace Plaza in Portland was "dedicated by the Portland City Council to the cause of peace." Wouldn't peace be cheerier than gray slabs? I would think that peace would be festooned in many colors and lively, not as somber as war. (The rose is not in the Peace Plaza.) --heidi
