I'm watching Tivo broadcast (:23 min mark) of Call For Help that was shown earlier today featuring gadgets that you can use for IMing when you're away from your Personal Confuser. One of the gadgets featured is the CSK. Hahn Choi of TechTV Labs "loves" the CSK and said "it's pretty good and looks a lot better...pretty snappy and quick." They're going to call CZJones to complain about the lack of coverage in the San Francisco Bay area and Lake Tahoe areas;). I used to miss showings of TechTV because either hubby was hogging the TV or because they would come one while I was away from home. Now my routine is to watch Tivo showings of CFH, TSS, TL & a little bit of SpongeBob in the a.m. before heading out to work.

AOL is launching another feature. AOL members with TiVo boxes will be able to program them via AOL by typing in the keyword "TV Listings," clicking on the show they want to record and clicking "record to my TiVo DVR." The FREE AOL service requires a Series 2 TiVo recording device. **Unfortunately, I have a DirecTV Tivo box....inclined to exchange it since I can't get the Home Media Option**

MLee, I love the pics you took of your -Princess Lee's- development. Did the radiologist tech give you a hard time about having the CSK in the exam room? Just curious.... I remember the awe I felt when a male coworker brought in his baby's ultrasound on a videotape a few years ago. The last time I had an ultrasound (9 yrs ago) they only provided a copy on the same material that they use for mouth x-rays and thermal paper.

My Family w/be frying in the heat @ the 1st L.A. Times “KidCity” at Exposition Park located directly across from the University of Southern California. KidCity is free of charge to all attendees and tickets are not needed for any of the interactive activities. When: Saturday, 07/19/03 and 07/20/03 from 10:00am to 5:00pm Where: Exposition Park, 700 South State Street, Los Angeles.

Saturday evening will be more server upgrades @ work and Sunday, DramaKween & I will be @ Hollywood Bowl to hear India.Arie for one of DramaKween's graduation gifts. I kinda wish I had my CSK and camera attachment during this time of the year because of all the outside activities.

Well, it's been an interesting week for me...it some respects. I interviewed for a position w/in the company in the group that I was in before I was promoted to this position I'm currently in. I didn't have much confidence during/after the interview that I would be at the top of the selection list. At first my boss had this "I don't care" vibe going when I first told him I was applying for another position. Today, I felt better about the situation because my boss showed concerned that I was looking outside the department. He let it slip that "something" (me reading between the lines = "good") might be coming when we have mid-year reviews next month.

My hubby told me earlier that the rain messed up things because it was 105 degrees and humid. I didn't go outside the office today and usually when I leave for home it's cooler outside. At work, we're starting Domino server cluster/upgrades tomorrow and I'm on the oncall rotation list as primary so I get to "press all the buttons" with a confused look on my face. The process has been documented by the subject matter expert who knows this stuff like the back of his hand. Fortunately, he will be in the office to "babysit" me & secondary oncall. I also have to be @ work the following Saturday. The server upgrades should be finished by end of next month. Next quarter we'll actually start the migration from Domino 5 to 6. Anticipating a lot of after hours paging for problems related to the migration. Fortunately, I have DSL to access VPN so I won't have to drive in to work after hours (optimistic).

I can't believe this...I was just talking about Tivo last night & The Screen Savers is now showing a segment for HACKING YOUR TIVO. I don't know if my hubby will go for "void your warranty" type of stuff ;) .. I'm thinking of searching eBay for standalone Tivo and then sign up for the Home Media Option. Wow....Negrito, I didn't know Sumi left Fresh Gear...I remember when she used to host with Jim Louderback(sp?). I liked Sumi's hosting skills better than Jim's. He left and became a TechTV VP. We just hooked up the Tivo this past weekend. I wish there was way to queue up the "Now Playing" list to automagically "Save To VCR" without having to select each recording individually. I set up Tivo for season pass recording of "The Screensavers", "Call For Help", "Spongbob Squarepants" and other Nick shows. It's a tedious process to copy each recording to VCR...sigh. I have a DVD burner and my next "mission" is to figure out to get the Tivo stuff onto DVD. My hubby said something about the Tivo stuff is digitally protected so that it can't be moved to DVD.

We returned the Sony big screen tv back to the Sears Outlet. The tv worked for one day and then went out...something about a one of the color tubes (backordered) needed to be replaced and they were still searching for another part but didn't know when it would be available. So this weekend, picked up a Mitsubish HDTV and I watched the Spongebob episode called "Jellyfish Jam" this morning. JJ is my second fave episode, with the Christmas musical special coming in at numero uno.
