What Is To Become Of Hiptop Nation??
Logged onto to DangerInfo -- now known as Hiptop.com -- and the design is impressive. The forum-look of DangerInfo is still there, but more snazzy :). There's a feature on Hiptop.com called "Hiplogs" where you are "....blogging by hiptop. Send email from your hiptop to hiplog@hiplog.com. The subject of your message becomes the title of your hiplog entry. The text of your message become the text of the entry. Want to make your hiplog a photojournal? Take snapshots with your hiptop and send them to hiplog. It's as easy as sending email.

Of course, there are some other cool things you can do. Read the how-to to get the details about hiplog."

So what will become of Hiptop Nation....the original, forerunner of all things daily life of SideKickers? HN has a homey, cozy feel to it...and as the man in Robocop said, after Robocop "cleaned a few clocks"...."I'll buy that for a dollar!!!"

I've taken 5 our of 6 classes for the Notes Application Developer track (but no exams yet)....just being lazy =(. Mini-resolution for 2003: Cert as app developer.....which will bring in an automagic $500 bonus once I get that piece of paper. =)

What Are Your New Year's Resolutions???
In honor of the New Year....here's an off-topic question....

What are your top 3 resolutions for the new year?

This is the type of question where I think we could find more in common than being bloggers/Sidekick owners.

Mine are:

1. Expand circle of friends beyond cyberspace (more face2face relationships) 2. Lose weight before it becomes detrimental to my physical/emotional health 3. Stop straddling the fence in my Christian "walk"

A Shopping We Will Go
...OK...OK....one of my projects for this weekend is to locate the little camera dealie.

The family "unit" will be joining me this evening for an adventure adventure to ... dramatic music overlay goes here .. look for a new vehicle to replace my Explorer ... sigh...yes, I got all caught up with the SUV'itis that was running rampant a few years ago. I'm getting in the mindset to scale down in preparation for DramaKween's college tuition which is a few years down the road.

I really look forward to playing the four-square game and haggling with the salesperson(s)....N-O-T! One positive thing so far is that I secured the $$$ for the future wheels at PeopleFirst.com courtesy of Edmunds.com which I have been reading as closely as I do DangerInfo & HipTop Nation.

Just on the research I've done some potentials are creampuff used versions of the Volvo 240, Nissan Altima, Ford Windstar, Pontiac Aztek for starters. Enjoy the ride....zoom...zoom...zoom...like a rock...

Who IS The Yahoo! Person of the Year??? & Work-Related Stuff
Yahoo's Year In Review contains the Person of The Year designation as well. But how did they come up with Britney Spears as a nominee though? Interesting no I.T. type folks were nominated.

Two more days to go and I'll be off from work until next Thursday. Work has been kind of crazy-doing-stuff-on-the-fly type of stuff, but it's a welcome challenge and a break from the usual mundane tasks, plus I see these challenges as opportunites and room to expand my career horizons. We had a Work Environment Survey in April and we just got the results a week ago and had a meeting yesterday.

I thought our workgroup of 13 out of 17 would be more vocal about the survey results, but we were more laid back about it. I just guess we're vocal when management is not in earshot of these offline discussions. We made a comment about training where either you come back from training and do not have an opportunity to apply what was learned or either being so caught up in the day-to-day work/maintenance activities that there isn't time to attend training. The manager "quipped" that training is a one time shot, no do-overs in the event that you can't apply the training until many months later. Hopefully, he was joking because we haven't started any process planning for an expected Domino major upgrade in 1Q2004. .....thinking....flashback to "Spongebob Employee of the Month episode with accompanying review.

The lowest rated survey area was pay and performance but company wide and even in our workgroup people are satisfied with their jobs but the workload priorities are impacting people's job satisfaction. This is coming on the heels of the planning phase of the 2003 Performance Partnership Agreements that should be kicking off in Jan-Feb.
