My car turned 50!

50,000 miles that is. I've had this car since late August 2004 when I bought it with 76 miles on it. So that's 49,924 miles in about 2.75 years which is 18,154 miles a year. So, that's a bit above the average of 12,000 - 15,000 miles/year that most people drive. There, now everyone has learned something new and un-interesting about me today.

I scored $82.00 when selling my books back. Plus, I got an email for an extra $5.00 off for a total of $87.00. Considering my job pays for 90% of my tuition and books if I get an "A" I almost come out ahead when taking classes. Almost free college ftw!

We just got back from a great Bright Eyes concert. It was at the Bass Concert Hall on the UT campus. The show was great. I've seen them once before but they only played the digital songs and no folk stuff. This one had a great combination. The fiddle player was amazing and the had a six piece string section.

Yesterday I moved from my single cubicle in a corner into a new double cubicle with a view. Plus all the cubicles around me are empty. I didn't really want to move but it's nice now that I'm here.

This morning I found out it might not last. Our marketing department may be moving over here to help cut costs. I may move again next week...

The pictures are completely useless but we saw Pauly Shore performing stand up tonight. He wasn't great but he wasn't bad. We had a fun time. Plus, free tickets ftw!

My wife and I got back from our California vacation late on Sunday. I'll get some good pictures up soon, I've just been too busy. We took Monday off to pick up our dogs, do some school catch up, etc. Yesterday I had a horrible day of work. My computer wasn't working properly and I was trying to get caught up on a weeks worth of work in one day.

Today and tomorrow I am going to be at our Dallas office. That means a 4:00am drive to get there this morning, that's what I'm working on now. But at least I'll get lots of songs knocked out on the iPod.

Dinner last night was at The Stinking Rose. It's a "Garlic Restaurant." The food was great. I had the Italian Garlic Meat Loaf and the wife had the 40 Clove Chicken. Yep, 40 cloves of garlic, it was awesome. And we even had their garlic ice cream. It was good but every bite was just confusing...
