Today is Wednesday. Hump day. One of the last obstacles in my way towards the weekend. I get off work in less than an hour and I couldn't be happier. Today was just one of those days that felt like it would drag on forever.

I didn't get good sleep last night. I tried a Claritin-D for the first time and I think it was the reason I woke up about 20 times throughout the night. And it didn't even work that well.

Luckily we're celebrating my mom's birthday tonight so I get to eat great mexican food at Chuy's. Mmmm, Chuy's. I think I'll get the Chuy's Special (blue corn tortillas stacked with smoked chicken, cheese, and Tomatillo sauce, topped with sour cream) or The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo (beef Tex-Mex enchilada, cheese ranchero enchilada, chicken tomatillo enchilada, crispy taco and chile con queso). Man, Elvis sure could eat.

I decided recently to try my luck with Linux. I've heard that Mandrake is a great version for newbies. And I'm definitely a newbie. I'm going to throw it on an old system running around 500MHz and 96MB of RAM and that's apparently way more than you need.

I also decided to buy a new hard drive to install it on. I have Windows 98 running on the main drive and I want to dual boot. I'm pretty sure if I try to install it on the main drive I'll screw something up and lose all my data. And I think I'll try to avoid that situation. I know that situation. That situation is not fun.

Every Wednesday at 10am I host a meeting at work with almost every bigwig in the company (all the head managers, the VP, and the President of the company.) It's currently 10:15 and I'm sitting all alone in the conference room. That's the problem with important people in business, they tend to be less punctual. Oh well, I get paid hourly still so I might as well enjoy the peace and quiet.

It's Saturday, it's 8:30, and I'm still in bed. It feels kind of weird. I'm not a morning person at all but lately I haven't been able to sleep in even if I tried. There's just been too much to do. My mother-in-law is staying with us this weekend too. Man, that's a weird thing to think about. I have a in-laws now!? (They're both wonderful people though)

I'm going to my sister's wedding at 1:00. My wedding was two weeks ago. one of my brother's got married two months ago. Only two more brothers left and I'm the youngest of all my siblings. I feel so old.

Well, I am now a married man. Tomorrow will be our two week anniversary. We've finally gotten settled back in and things are calming down a bit. I actually have time to post again.

The honeymoon was great. One night in San Antonio at The Westin. Our's was one of the rooms behind the middle tree in the picture. Then we stayed one night at The Gage Hotel in Marathon. Then we stayed three nights in a small house in Marfa, TX that Molly's aunt and uncle own. It was very peaceful and the weather was amazing.

Oh, I also want to thank Chris Falco for recommending Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman. My wife and I were talking about the very subjects addressed in that book a few days before he posted this. She bought the book yesterday and loves it so far. As soon as she's done I get to read it.
